JAMS AND PICKLES

WHY JAMS AND PICKLES?

Back in the day of the working horse the ploughman would rise at 5 in the morning and arrive home at dark.

He would take his lunch with him and in Scotland it was known as peace time when the horses and workers stopped for lunch.  From then until today sandwiches are known as "Pieces", working on the Peace Time.  These sandwiches would have been filled with jams, and cheese with pickles, hence why we have our main fundraiser of Homemade Jams, Pickles and Marmalades.

All our produce is on sale at the farm and we can guarantee once you have tasted them you will want more....

When you buy a jar of our produce you will get nothing but wholesome ingredients, there are no preservatives or artificial colourings.

We have two very old fashioned recipes, which Grannie, who makes all our produce, keeps the recipes tucked under her hat.  These two are pickles, Grannies Cheeky Chutney, and Grannies Piccalilli which was Regional Finalist for the 2016 Delicious Food Awards.
